  • What type of material do you accept for shredding?  Do I need to remove paper clips, staples, etc?

    We accept all paper documents, file folders, hanging file folders, ring binders, spiral notebooks, floppy disks, X-rays, envelopes, unopened envelopes, old checkbooks, junk mail, magazines, books, etc. You do NOT need to remove the staples, paper clips, binder clips, etc. We can handle it all for you. We also shred hard drives, back up tapes, CDs, Floppy discs and VHS and audiocassette tapes for an additional fee in our metal shredder. If you don't see something listed, give us a call to find out. (**We do not take the computers or laptops, only the hard drives.  If you are not sure how to remove them, you can Google how to remove hard drive from "insert your computer model" and there should be a short youtube video showing how to remove it.)

  • Can I drop off my paper and hard drives to be destroyed?

    Yes. Our drop-off address is located at 333 West Bayaud Avenue, Denver, CO 80223. You can come during our drop off hours and do not need an appointment. Go to the east end of our building, you will see 2 big garage doors with a green and white sign above them. There is a door next to them with a buzzer. We also offer pick up service for businesses and residences. We DO NOT ACCEPT CASH any longer for everyone's protection. Please pay by check, money order or we can invoice you. Once you receive your invoice, you can send in a check or go online and pay by credit/debit card if you prefer.

  • How do I schedule a pick up?

    Scheduling a pickup is quick and easy. Call Susan Williams Robinson at 303-996-6693 to make arrangements, she can also answer any questions you may have.

  • Do you pick up from Residences or storage units?

    Yes, we can pick up your material from your home, storage unit or business.

  • What if I don't have my material in boxes or if I want to keep my boxes?

    We can provide 64 gallon purge bins for you to fill up.  See Pricing page for Purges using 64 gallon bins here. Our box pricing does NOT include keeping your boxes.  Our drivers load your boxes and go, that is why it is so affordable.

  • Does your company take material up and down stairs?

    Unfortunately, we do not. Material needs to be on street level or accessible by an elevator or ramps.

  • Does your company do Mobile shredding where I can watch it being shred in the parking lot?

    Unfortunately, we do not. We are AAA NAID certified like most of those companies, but we only do plant based secure shredding, where we pick it up from your location, securely transport it to our location for certified shredding. The reason we don't utilize a mobile shredding truck is because our social mission is to provide jobs to individuals with disabilities and by bringing it back to our facility for shredding, we are able to employ ten plus individuals with disabilities.  We also are able to keep our pricing more affordable to our customers. Mobile trucks are very expensive to purchase, maintain and insure. That is why they charge their customers more.

  • Does your company take material that is wet or moldy?

    Unfortunately, we do not. Material needs to be dry or could damage our shredding machines. Please dry it before bringing. Moldy material is a health hazard to our employees and affects the quality of the shredded paper we send to papermills.

  • How can I pay my bill? What forms of payment do you accept?

    You can pay your bill by check, money order or electronically through PayPal. We do NOT accept cash. Checks and money orders can be made out to Bayaud Enterprises and mailed to Bayaud Enterprises, 333 W. Bayaud Ave., Denver, CO 80223. To pay your bill online, click here . Please include the invoice number(s) and the amount you want to apply to your credit card.  Our accounting system is not connected to our Paypal account so the amount box will have $0.00, until you type in the amount of the invoice.  If you have any problems we can accept payment over the phone as well.

  • Do you provide the locking shredding containers, or do I have to supply my own?

    We provide the locking containers. You can choose from two types, a 36 inch high laminate console, or a large, hard plastic 64-gallon bin. They are included in the cost of service. You can see them here. 

  • Do I have to sign a long term contract to use your ongoing service?

    No, you do not.  Ours is just a month to month service agreement.  We do not lock you into a long term commitment because we want you to continue with our services because you are happy with our services and we meet your needs. 

  • How long does document shredding take?

    Once your documents arrive at our secure facility, The National Association for Information Destruction requires us to shred within 3 business days. However, we strive to shred everything within 1 to 2 business days, the same day in most cases.

  • How long does hard drive destruction take?

    Hard drive destruction takes just a few minutes. We scan and log the serial number of each hard drive before sending it through our hard drive shredder. 

  • How do I know my confidential documents and hard drives are secure once they leave my office?

    We adhere to a strict chain of custody as dictated by the National Association for Information Destruction. (NAID). We are AAA certified by NAID and in order to maintain this certification, we follow the most rigorous standards of security. You can see a copy of our current Certificate by clicking here NAID Certification.

  • Why should I shred with Bayaud instead of my own home/office shredder?

    Home/office shredders can't guarantee your privacy. Shredding and throwing out your confidential documents doesn't insure that they remain confidential. There is document reconstruction software that can scan paper shreds and reassemble their contents. Not only can identity thieves use this method to steal your identity, your competitors can use this to steal trade secrets and other confidential information right from your dumpsters.

    With Bayaud, your items are under lock and key from the moment they leave your building and remain in a strict chain of custody throughout the entire process. Our trucks are GPS tracked and our facility is monitored 24 hours a day. Rest assured, your information cannot be compromised with our AAA NAID certified service.

  • How can I make my business compliant with the consumer confidential information laws?

    Sending confidential information to a landfill or recycling center without shredding it first is illegal, according to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, HIPAA, and FACTA laws. Make sure your business is compliant with these federal laws by destroying documents securely with Bayaud’s AAA NAID Certified document and hard drive destruction service.

  • How much does document shredding cost?

  • What Holidays are you closed for?

    Bayaud is closed for ALL Federal Holidays according to the date they are observed.  New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day aka Indigenous People Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the next day, and Christmas Day.

  • What if my pick up date falls on a holiday?

    If your regular pick up date falls during a holiday week the driver may pick up your shredding one to two business days before or after your regular date to accommodate all of our customers during the holiday week.  If you have questions, please call us at 303-830-6885 and ask for the shredding department so we can assist you or modify your schedule as needed.
